They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. That’s why when we talk to someone significant in our lives, or when we talk about things that really matter, we look into each other’s eyes. The eyes can express different emotions. And by gazing into each other’s eyes, we bond with our loved ones; and that includes our dogs.

We have such a deep emotional bond with our dogs because when we gaze into their beautiful big puppy eyes, it results in the increase of oxytocin levels. Oxytocin, also known as the ‘love hormone’ or the ‘cuddle chemical’, is the hormone our brains produce that is responsible for encouraging the bonding between people; either with mother and offspring, partner bonding, or any social bonding. And this actually makes us feel better!

So if you need to feel better today, watch the video below, and gaze into the eyes of these adorable pups!

Feeling better already? I know I am!So if you’re feeling down, just gaze into your dog’s eyes, and give him a hug too–that will surely make you feel better!
