Proud Dog Dad And Soccer Star Lionel Messi Can’t Believe How Quick His Pup Has Grown

| September 9, 2016

For world soccer fans (or football, if you’re outside the US), star athlete Lionel Messi is a household name. And we’re happy to say, he’s also a proud dog-dad!

Earlier this year, girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo gave him the best kind of gift (as long as you’re prepared, of course): a new puppy! And boy, has the Dogue de Bodeaux grown!

Messi is currently recovering from a groin injury, according to Daily Mail. Although one can imagine it’s been tough for him to sit on the sidelines, he’s been able to watch his pup, named Hulk, grow into his name! Can you believe these photos were taken only 8 months apart?

What a big boy! We bet that Messi was thrilled to have Hulk keep him company as he healed from his injury. It looks like he’s a cherished member of the family.
