This Sweet & Loving Blind Dog Who Cries When He’s Left Alone Is Looking For A Forever Home

| Published on July 21, 2016

Imagine being blind, with no home to feel safe in, and no family to care for you. It must be a very lonely world.

That must be how Jinx feels.

Jinx is a 5-year-old Pit Bull mix who was born blind. He was surrendered by his previous owners to the Animal Care Center of New York City (ACC) because he did not get along with their other dogs.

When his previous owners dropped him off, the shelter workers immediately noticed just how anxious Jinx was. His inability to see didn’t help either. He’s blind and he’s in an unfamiliar place. He would pace around his kennel and would cry every time he’s left alone.

It’s obvious that Jinx is craving for company. He has been a family dog since he was born and he’s obviously missing his family. He needs someone to comfort him and make him feel loved again.

ACC volunteer Caitlyn Himmel posted Jinx’s photos on Facebook. She describes him as an outgoing dog who is always up for an adventure. Jinx is very friendly with new people, and is gentle and playful with children.

Awww…he’s a sweetie!

Jinx is looking for a home where he’s going to be the only pet. If you open your heart and your home to him, he will give you everything that he has, loyalty, and unconditional love.

Let’s help sweet Jinx find a loving, forever home! If you can’t adopt Jinx permanently, you can also offer to be his foster parent. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a foster home, please contact Red Hook Dog Rescue (RHDR) by emailing them at rhdrdogs@gmail.com. The wonderful guys at RHDR have offered to sponsor Jinx if they can find a foster home in local NYC.

For more info about adopting Jinx, please contact Manhattan ACC by calling this number: 212-788-4000. Jinx’s animal ID number is A1078595.
