Not dog food but you can add salmon oil to their food and give your dog glucosamine and corydalis for joint/muscle pain. (My brother is an Oriental Medicine Doctor and had us give these to our dog that had hip dysplasia, a collapsed trachea. Our dog was adopted at age 15 years old with these issues and the original owners gave him to me because they were told he only had 2 weeks left to live and they couldn’t stand the thought of him dying on them. We had him for 5 months and he was well loved, he had a stroke but died in my arms, knowing he was adored.)

Mine has kidney disease as well as arthritis, so we have to feed for the kidney disease. She gets Hill’s Science Diet KD. If she didn’t have KD. I’d have her on pPP salmon.

This is not a food recommendation but a new monthly shot that helps dogs with mobility issues specifically targeting arthritis is now available in Canada called Librela. I don’t know where you live but something to check with your vet. Using it on my old dog and seeing positive results. Love seeing him more able.

Glucosamine… I have a pitbull and husky mix that’s about 10 years old. I go to pets supplies plus and get these little treat like medicine that helps with joints and muscles.. But they have all kinds. I would go and ask someone there or just read the different ones.

Managing arthritis in huskies requires a holistic approach that emphasizes a well-balanced, anti-inflammatory diet. Integrating ingredients rich in fish oil for dogs, antioxidants, and natural supplements like glucosamine for dogs and chondroitin can significantly improve joint health and mobility. Consult with a veterinarian to personalize your husky’s dietary plan, accounting for breed, size, and specific health requirements. By incorporating these food recommendations and maintaining a healthy weight, you will not only alleviate your dog’s arthritis symptoms but also boost their overall well-being, ensuring a happier, more comfortable life for your husky.
