20 Best Dog Foods for a Boxer with Arthritis or Joint Pain

I’m not sure there is a food that is recommended for arthritis, but it’s a good question for the vet. There are lots of meds, both traditional and holistic, that can help as can PT, stretching, massage, laser, acupuncture, keeping the pet lean etc etc.

Raw!! Or gently cooked. Remove all carbs such as rice, potatoes etc. Carbs make inflammation much worse. Went through this with my 12 year old lab mix. Arthritis so bad I thought I would have to put her to sleep. Changed her diet to raw, use natural anti-inflammatories and she is like a new dog!!

Managing arthritis in boxers requires a holistic approach that emphasizes a well-balanced, anti-inflammatory diet. Integrating ingredients rich in fish oil for dogs, antioxidants, and natural supplements like glucosamine for dogs and chondroitin can significantly improve joint health and mobility. Consult with a veterinarian to personalize your boxer’s dietary plan, accounting for breed, size, and specific health requirements. By incorporating these food recommendations and maintaining a healthy weight, you will not only alleviate your dog’s arthritis symptoms but also boost their overall well-being, ensuring a happier, more comfortable life for your boxer.
