George is on white rice and a boiled chicken breast chopped up. Sometimes, I boil hamburger to remove all the fat, and to switch it up for him, and he has been thriving ever since. This was recommended by his vet after he had stomach trouble a few years ago.

I feed my dogs Diamond sensitive skin and coat. My pom had pancreatitis, and I had to switch a couple of times. He also has a skin allergy. This is the only food out of the 6+ I’ve tried that has calmed his chewing down. He used to chew the heck out of his paws. His coat is super soft, too, since we switched to this one.

Chicken is boiled and then put in a container, and the electric stick is used. I add a little fresh parsley, half a tablespoon of Greek yoghurt ( Greek yoghurt is the best for any dog, once a week I add some to a small bowl and they lap away). wizz away, also they get tuna in oil once again, Greek yoghurt.

Frequently Asked Questions About Foods for Pomeranians with Sensitive Stomachs
1. What is the best food for a Pomeranian with a sensitive stomach?
The best food is one that is easy to digest and made with simple, high-quality ingredients. Many Pomeranian owners find success with sensitive stomach formulas, limited-ingredient diets, or gentle homemade meals like chicken and rice.
2. Why do Pomeranians have sensitive stomachs?
Pomeranians can have sensitive stomachs due to food intolerances, allergies, or underlying digestive conditions. Their small size can also make them more prone to stomach upset.
3. Are limited-ingredient diets good for Pomeranians?
Yes, limited-ingredient diets can help reduce digestive issues by minimizing potential triggers. Fewer ingredients make it easier to identify and avoid foods that may cause reactions.
4. Can homemade food help a Pomeranian with stomach issues?
Homemade food can be helpful because it allows you to control ingredients and avoid irritants. Simple recipes with lean protein and easy-to-digest carbs are often well tolerated.
5. What proteins are easiest for Pomeranians to digest?
Lean proteins like chicken, turkey, and fish are commonly easier to digest. Some dogs may benefit from alternative proteins like duck, venison, or bison if they have sensitivities.
6. Should I feed my Pomeranian grain-free food?
Not all Pomeranians need grain-free diets. Some do better with grains like rice or oats, while others benefit from grain-free options. It depends on your dog’s individual tolerance.
7. Can probiotics help my Pomeranian’s digestion?
Yes, probiotics can support gut health by promoting beneficial bacteria. They may help improve digestion, reduce diarrhea, and support overall stomach balance.
8. What foods should I avoid for a sensitive Pomeranian?
Avoid foods with artificial additives, fillers, and common allergens. Sudden changes in diet can also trigger stomach issues, so it’s best to introduce new foods gradually.
9. How often should I feed a Pomeranian with a sensitive stomach?
Feeding smaller, more frequent meals can help reduce digestive strain and prevent issues like vomiting or bloating.
10. How do I transition my Pomeranian to a new food?
Transition slowly over several days by mixing the new food with the old in increasing amounts. This helps your dog adjust and reduces the risk of digestive upset.
11. When should I take my Pomeranian to the vet for stomach problems?
If your dog has ongoing vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, or signs of discomfort, it’s important to consult your veterinarian to rule out more serious health issues.
