In Jefferson County Colorado, a dog is being hailed a hero after saving his human’s life by jumping in between her and a venomous rattlesnake.
Jenna Castello and her friend Joshua Chavez, were walking with their foster dog Guinness, a 6-month-old hound dog. They were hiking on a trail in Deer Creek Canyon Park when Jenna came upon a rattlesnake. Guinness saw Jenna freak out when she saw the snake, and he recognized that she was in danger. So Guinness bravely came between Jenna and the rattlesnake; putting himself in danger. He was bitten twice; once in face, and in the paw. Joshua’s quick thinking saved Guinness life. It was a good thing that he knew exactly what to do. He immediately carried Guinness to the car, and brought him to the vet where he was given an anti-venom. Watch the video below for the full story!
