Silas was my first personal rescue/got owner to surrender. He was in very bad shape, skin, bones, scared, hungry and barely able to stand. He weighed in at 20 lbs and is now a healthy 40 lbs, his blue fur is no longer purple.
I fostered him, nursed him to health, trained him…and adopted him out. He did very badly with his new family, they were very nice but something wasn’t right. I had cried often over his adoption.
One day our rescue called and asked if I wanted him back! It was Valentine’s day, and it was the most loviest, kissiest, huggiest Valentine’s ever! He’s a great love of my life and the biggest mommas boy!
