I have a 5 month old shih tzu puppy and took her in for her first grooming appointment. It seems her soft hair is fine, but her fuzzy undercoat is gone. Did they pull it out? Is this normal?

Shih Tzu don’t have an undercoat. She probably just had some puppy hair cut off.

Puppy’s have a puppy coat and like most dogs lose it around 4-6 months. The adult coat is in. As a former groomer I usually explain this to new clients. This is normal.
