Shedding Shih Tzu

My 4 year old Shih Tzu has been shedding. She still looks healthy but there is hair everywhere in my house. She’s eating, drinking, other than the fact that I have to use the swiffer daily nothing has changed about her. She has always shed more than a typical Shih Tzu (I have a 3 year old who doesn’t shed at all), but this is out of control. The next step is to take her to the vet, but since she doesn’t seem to have any other issues, I’m just wondering if it “normal” or emotional?
