Hello. My name is Murdo and I am a whippet-cross from Scotland. My mum picked me up when I was 3 months old. I wasn’t house trained, I wasn’t protected from nasty diseases, I hadn’t met another dog since they took me from my furry mum and brothers and sisters. I was full of love but pretty scared of everything; well, everything except my new mum. She protected me from nasty illness and that meant that I could learn to meet and play with other dogs. It was fun. When, I was nine months old, a big angry dog attacked me in the woods. I am fast and nibble, like a Ninja and I made a nifty escape. But, I had a foot long scar along my midriff and it hurt. But, more than that physical scar the thing is I now feel that I have to fight with big dogs. I just won’t let another bite me like that. So, I pretend that I am fierce and a bit of a Kamikazee. I know that I upset people around me, especially my human mum. She really struggles to help me through my fear, but she does try. She says that she has found a boot camp for reactive dogs that I could go to, like college, I guess. But, she needs to save up to send me there as we are not a wealthy family. The camp lasts for three weeks and costs £755. My mum has been raising money and so far has raised 30% of the fee. If you could help my mum by donating £1, $1, 1€ or whatever you could that would be really awesome. My mum says that she will post updates from the school when she eventually meets the target to send me there. It will be challenging for me as I have never left my mum’s side since she came to pick me up and make life right for me. But, I am almost 3 years old now so I have to be big and brave and strong. If you can, please follow go to justgiving dot com and search for ‘ Weʼre raising £700 to help Murdo recover from trauma and send him on a three week, specialised training school for reactive dogs by contributing £1, 1€, or $1.’ Thank you for listening to my story and for thinking of me.
