I have a 10 month old yorkie. We have her since she was 3 months old. She still will not come to me and when I go to get her she runs the other way and goes behind a chair or sofa. Why does she act like she is afraid of me and my husband.? When we are sitting on the sofa she will jump up and lay beside me and she also sleeps in bed with me. Is this common in the yorkie breed. This is my first yorkie and we love her very much.

Exactly the same behaviour with my little girl age 7 1/2 months, runs away and hide when I try to pick her up! Also has another strange behaviour I am curious to know if anyone has experienced before; she is growling at me sometimes when she’s in my lap for no reason! I have been thinking if I pet her the wrong way, touch her where she is chip marked( maybe a sensitive area of her back since she’s so tiny, just weights about 2,8 pounds)
I would really love to find out all about these behaviours!
