It’s amazing what mothers will do just to keep their babies safe and protected. And it’s not just human mothers who do that. Animals will also go to great lengths to keep their young safe. Just like the dog in the video below.
Heavy rains poured in Chennai, India, causing floods that affected not just people, but also animals. A street dog was caught on camera, swimming in floodwaters and risking her life to save her puppies.
According to the post on The Dodo, the mom carried her pups to safety one by one. So she had to swim in the flood a couple of times to make sure each pup was rescued.

We have no other details as to what happened to the mom and her puppies. We can only hope that an animal rescue organization in India have rescued this poor family.
