The Oregon Zoo has a unique way to help their black bear, Takoda, stay cool during the hot summer months, dubbing it “bear conditioning.” Takoda enjoys taking leisurely swims in his cozy pool. Meanwhile, bears in the wild seem to have a similar idea, heading to the beach to take a refreshing break from the heat!

A serene day at the beach took an unexpected turn when a bear family made a surprise visit, seeking some respite at Lake Tahoe. Beachgoers wisely maintained a safe distance, watching as the mother bear and her cubs rummaged through an unattended cooler for a quick snack before they retreated back into the forest.
