Don’t have a Pug without insurance. I have three Pugs and I am insured with Direct Line. I have had to claim many times and they have always paid out promptly.

Nationwide is the cheapest by far out of all the companies and they pay well.

Be careful and read all that is covered and not covered. They don’t cover a lot of potential pug problems.

Feed them good food and take long walks, the rest takes care of itself. I have had 3 Pugs all living past 14 years, no health issues due mostly because they don’t over eat and they get exercise.

I have all three of mine with direct line and they have been great at paying out this year….one had a mast cell tumour and another deep melting ulcers so surgery on both eyes and all the stuff that goes with that…..

Check with your vet, Im sure they will recommend a predominant health insurance.

Insurance. You don’t want to ever have to think about making a decision based on how much it will cost to assess diagnose and treat.

Do you have 5-10k available right now? That’s just for a broken leg or maybe an MRI and a surgery.

My girl cost 15k in a few days to get a diagnosis and has been on daily treatment since with one relapse. I figure I’m about 30k in and this was 6 years ago.

She is great. Most don’t have enough disposable cash available at the drop of a hat.

      Trupanion here.
