My 5 (6 in October) year old Basset has just been diagonised with hip dyplasyia & we as a family are devastated. The vet’s gave him an injection into his muscle & have put him on a 4 day course of METACAM, we are on day 2 & yesterday he appeared a little (10%) better but today he’s not doing very well. He is back at the vet`s on Monday morning.

Has anyone tried Metacam with their Bassets……..what was the outcome, prognosis, & feelings.

Has anyone got any recommendations as to how i can help/relieve the discomfort (i don’t think he’s in pain) that he is feeling.

We want to make him as normal/comfortable as possible.

Thank you Sharon & the Taylor family xx
