Follow Up To: Not a Question-More Of An Observation

A while back (April, maybe?), I wrote about a dog food I was trying to for the first time: VeRUS Dog Food. At the time, I was commenting on the fact that this food – the VeRUS Opticoat Formula – had no stink and was a clean feeling dog food.

This is all still true.

First, I live in Texas where it’s hot and muggy. Bread molds almost immediately after opening at this time of year (unless you eat it really fast or store it in the ‘fridge). My VeRUS dog food still isn’t stinky, even at the bottom of the bag. This would be nice if I were one of those people who sealed it properly after each feeding. I’m not that good. I sometimes forget to reseal it. Even after sitting open all night a few times, it doesn’t stink up the room by the end of the bag. It doesn’t lose it’s ‘fresh fish’ scent, either.
Another great thing: Even at the bottom of the bag – when everything else in the state is melting – the food is STILL NOT STICKY!
I can serve it up by hand I’m not covered in dog food grease.

But, enough of that. Let me tell you about my dogs after FIVE months of feed…

After FIVE months of feeding VeRUS Opticoat formula, my dogs are STILL less itchy than ever before. They both have a nice coat with great texture. They don’t have doggy breath. They don’t spend half their time scratching unless they’ve been in the dirt & need a bath. We are truly having fewer issues this summer with skin problems than we’ve ever had! And trust me, it isn’t because the Texas weather has miraculously become ideal for warm-blooded animals.

Another thing I need to mention is the poop factor. For those of us who clean up poop in the yard, the poop factor is very important. For one thing, my dogs don’t poop as often, so I have fewer land mines to detect. Second, the poops are bigger/more efficient. Third – and this is key – when I complain about the neighbor’s dog wandering into my yard to leave a deposit, I now have proof! Foreign doggy deposits are easy to identify because of the color and consistency. Is this disgusting? Yes! Poop discussions usual ARE disgusting. However, poop can tell you a LOT about your dog’s health, and I can tell you that my dogs are a LOT HEALTHIER than the neighbor’s intrusive pooch.

Finally, I need to mention that the Opticoat Formula is one of the highest priced VeRUS dog foods. It is WORTH EVERY PENNY! I don’t have to feed huge amounts for my dogs to get their energy. I don’t feel like I’m constantly running out of dog food.
