Coonhound mix? Would love to identify my dog.

When we first rescued our dog, we were told he was a coonhound/lab mix, but I don’t think that description is accurate- I do not see any lab in him and he is small for a coonhound or lab. He is 8 months old and 30 pounds. He was also ripped away from his mom at a very young age, so that might play a role in his small size??? He is Black and Tan, but most of his bothers and sisters were white with black spots. His appearance does seem houndy to me, but I’m not sure of the specific breed.

Personality-wise, he is VERY stubborn and we have had a hard time training him. He loves to sniff outdoors. He has a ton of energy and is very athletic. He is ridiculously fast and he jumps extrenely high. He also becomes obsessed with hiding his treats and spends a lot of time hiding and re-hiding them around the house.

I love my baby so much and I am glad we were able to provide a loving home for him after he was taken away from his mom and almost disposed of, but it would be awesome to have a better idea what breeds he is made of to understand him better and be aware of any potential health issues.
