iHeartDogs works closely with GreaterGood by donating part of each sale to their various charity efforts. One of the charities, Rescue Bank, works to donate quality dog food to shelters and rescues who are in need. Some organizations could not run without the kind donations from organizations like this, and that’s why your donations are so appreciated.

Pets for Vets is one of the many organizations that benefit from your kind donations to the Greater Good Rescue Bank. With helping to pair so many lovable pets with veterans in need, this is an incredible organization to support!

“Pets for Vets was created to improve the lives of both Veterans and animals by bringing them together in a thoughtful, caring way. Our goal is to give back to the brave servicemen and women who have given everything to our country, while finding homes for deserving shelter pets.”–Pets for Vets

The team at Pets for Vets came across a handsome boy named Louie in their search for a new dog to bring into their crew. After learning how wonderful of a temperament the Black Lab mix named Louie had, they knew he would make the perfect companion for one of the many veterans that Pets for vets works with.

Louie had everything needed to be the best furry friend anyone could ask for, but he did have some chronic skin issues that were only made worse within the walls of a shelter. After being welcomed into their foster program and receiving weeks of special food and medical treatment, he was healthy and looking better than ever!

With sporting a new and improved coat and a new lease on life, Louie was ready to be paired with his forever friend. It was then that Louie made his way into the arms of a retired Cargo Specialist in the Air Force named Alfred, and the rest was history.

“I have met many people at home because of Louie, everyone thinks he’s beautiful and such a good dog, so they come and ask about him and pet him. He loves the attention. I am so grateful and happy that you matched us together; wherever I go, he is two steps behind me or sits right underneath me or in his line of sight.” – Alfred

Louie and Alfred now spend their days going on walks around the neighborhood, socializing with the neighbors and dogs in their community, and cuddling up on the couch at every chance they get. We are so grateful to the Pets for Vets organization for giving dogs like Louie a chance at a wonderful future, and helping our veterans find the companions they deserve!
