On the grand finale held on September 27, Adrian Stoica, alongside his canine companion, Hurricane, clinched the title for the 18th season of the popular NBC talent contest. Their victory secured them a whopping $1 million and a coveted performance slot in the “America’s Got Talent” Presents Superstars Live event at Las Vegas’s Luxor Theater. This win by Stoica and Hurricane marks the first time a dog act has triumphed on “AGT” since the Olate Dogs took home the title during the show’s 2012 seventh season.

In the final showdown, the duo outperformed magician Anna DeGuzman, with the dance ensemble Murmuration securing the third position, after the top five acts were narrowed down to the final two. The penultimate episode on September 26 showcased a lively act by Stoica and Hurricane, choreographed to the tunes of Queen’s hit “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” The act even featured a cameo by judge Sofia Vergara, leading to a rousing standing ovation from the audience.

Post-performance, Vergara remarked, “If ever you need me for another act, I’m just a call away.”

The panel of judges was unanimous in their praise. “It was truly spectacular, something I’ve never witnessed before,” commented Howie Mandel. Heidi Klum couldn’t contain her excitement, saying, “What’s there not to adore? Hurricane is not only cute but also the most intelligent dog I’ve come across. The entire act was just delightful.” Simon Cowell added, “She’s a natural. She ought to be in films or musicals. She’s born to be a star.” Throughout this season, the pair consistently remained audience favorites.

After their August performance, Mandel had declared, “This is, by far, my most loved dog act on ‘AGT.'”

Vergara, echoing the sentiments of many, exclaimed, “Hurricane is undoubtedly Vegas-ready!”
