Dog Food Advisor announced another recall from raw food company Steve’s Real Food due to potential Salmonella contamination.
While no illnesses were reported, the voluntary recall was initiated after a sample came back positive for Salmonella.
The specific products being recalled are the 5 lb bags of Raw Frozen Dog Food Turkey Canine Recipe, lot # E178 with a best by date of 9/27/18.
According to Dog Food Advisor:
Fifty two cases of this product [were] distributed between 6/27/17 – 7/15/17.
The potentially affected lot of 5-pound frozen turkey nuggets were distributed to retail pet food stores in the following states: CA, CO, CT, IA, KS, FL, MD, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, VA, and WA.
Anyone with an affected product can return it to their place of purchase for a full refund. Customers can also call Steve’s Real Food at 888-526-1900, Monday thru Friday 9 AM to 4 PM MT.
