An uncaring hunter gave up on one of his dogs when she became paralyzed. As the pup lay there, petrified because she was unable to move, the one person she trusted turned his back on her.
Thankfully, she ended up in the kind hands of the rescue group Galgos del Sol, located in Spain. They quickly decided, no matter what, they would help the pup walk again!
The paralyzed dog, named Avellana, never complained, despite her condition. She even wagged her tail when the volunteers sat with her. They used an exercise ball and special mats to stimulate her body. They cheered her on when she moved her back leg on her own! The volunteers took her for walks in a special pushcart for fresh air. While Avellana was dealt an unfair hand, she was now surrounded by love and support.
Avellana watched the other rescue dogs play while on her walks and longed to join in. The more the rescuers cheered Avellana on, the more motivated the brave dog became.
