Border Collies, Wish and Halo are making history. Not only are they incredibly smart, but they also set their own Guinness World Record, and the results are adorable! The pups completed “the most tricks performed by two dogs in under one minute.” Additionally, Wish also completed the “fastest 5-meter crawl by a dog.” They’re on a roll!

But these amazing talents didn’t just happen overnight. They’ve spent countless hours working on these tricks with their mom, Emily Larlham, who is a successful dog trainer. It might sound like lots of hard work, but Wish and Halo seem to love what they do.

Record-Breaking Canines

This dynamic duo broke the record on December 22nd, 2020. In only a minute, they did 28 tricks, including high fives and running in circles. They ended the video by catching a toy and getting to play with it as a reward.

As if one record wasn’t enough, Wish went on to complete another record too. She crawled for 5 meters in 2.175 seconds, breaking the record for the fastest crawl. These dogs can do anything they set their minds to!

Larlham trains her dogs using “Progressive Reinforcement Training”. She created the term for her training style, which never involves any physical or psychological intimidation. She uses a clicker, treats, and positive terms like “good” and “yes” to help her dogs learn. It not only benefits Wish and Halo, but she also uses this training method with her four other dogs: Kiko, Splash, Tug, and Epic.

The Road to Success

Larlham has been a dog trainer for 15 years. She met Kyle Rayon, her mentor and fellow dog trainer, while she was a shelter animal caregiver. While working with Rayon, she began to develop her own unique training style.

Now, Larlham is famous on YouTube for her dog training tutorials and dog behavior tips. She has posted over 350 videos to help fellow dog lovers with training. All six of her dogs make appearances in these videos, especially Wish and Halo, who are now canine celebrities.

To further help other families, Larlham travels the world as a speaker, sharing her training techniques with other dog parents and trainers. Her Progressive Reinforcement Training has certainly been life-changing for some dogs.

These world records are just the beginning. Larlham’s dogs are so intelligent and eager to learn that there’s no doubt they’ll have more accomplishments in the future. Congratulations, Wish and Halo!
