Delta Airlines is showing support for passengers and their pets traveling to or from cities affected by Hurricane Irma through September 12th. Additionally, they will waive baggage fees.
According to their website, pet parents who board the flight with animals in tow (and in the cabin) will not be charged the usual $75-200 fee to bring their companions with them.
The only caveat is that the perk applies to small animals (with the exception of service dogs) who are able to fit comfortably in a kennel that can be tucked beneath the seat. Although fees are waived for checked baggage, it does not specify whether this includes larger pets traveling in cargo. (For full details, click here.)
