Although his previous life is a mystery, he was discovered living at a garbage dump and eating rubbish to survive. His skin was severely infested with sarcoptic mange, resulting in significant hair loss and painful sores. He also had tick bites, anemia, and damaged eyes.

Because he hasn’t had human contact for so long, he is petrified of people. Volunteers from Sidewalk Specials came to his aid and were very tolerant with him.

When rescuers put a leash on him, Alexander howled, sobbed, and tried to run away, but he quieted down when he learned they were there to assist him. Alex’s trip to a new existence began right then.

Today, Alex appears to be a completely different dog. He was treated for his diseases and his fur returned to normal. He was even adopted by a wonderful family that pampers him with the finest attention and all of the love he’s always needed.
