The dog screamed, but the rescuer paid it no mind. He knew exactly what he had to do. To calm him down, the seaman draped a blanket over him. It would also make lifting him up less unpleasant. Finally, at the rescue center, the aged dog was pampered with lotion for his hairless skin that was covered in ulcers. His diseased, bald skin was treated with topical medication and an injection for relief.

Next, he was bathed with a medicated solution. This would enormously aid his skin’s healing. Every day, the rescuers would give him a medicated bath to comfort and heal his inflamed skin. Miraculously, despite months of care, the old dog that had curled up to die received a new name and began living again after being given lots of TLC. Meet Edward now!

Edward’s case demonstrates that each life has value. There is still hope even if they are quiet or sick. He may now enjoy a pain-free life with wonderful companions who will ensure he has food every day and plenty of affection. Edward gets to spend his golden years the way they were meant to be: happy and secure.
