Sadie, a 100-pound German Shepherd, wasn’t only rejected by people- animal shelters rejected her as well. The unwanted dog wasn’t great around men, but that didn’t mean she was unworthy of a home. Sadie desperately needed help!

Finally, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, a shelter of “last resort,” decided to take Sadie. The pup quickly met Brian Meyers, who assumed he was rescuing her but that wasn’t the case at all! As the video states, Brian “was saving his savior.”

Brian lives alone with Sadie. One night while in bed, he stood up and then fell straight down. He was stuck between the bed and the wall, having a stroke. The amazing pup raced over so Brian could latch onto her collar. She then dragged Brian across the room to his phone.

When CBS Evening News interviewed Megan with Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, asking her about Sadie’s bravery and loyalty, she responded, “When you have a dog who’s lost something… lost a family or person or they never quite had that… they make that connection and you really become their world.”

While Brian was in the hospital, he got a very special surprise you can’t miss! This video – and story – are epic! Sadie, you’re amazing! Thank you for saving your dad!
