209,110 Toys Donated and counting

Did you know that a dog’s perceived playfulness is one of the top 3 most important factors when considering adoption? However, when a dog is locked up in a kennel all day they become bored, scared, anxious, and even aggressive. These dogs are rarely adopted. Many are euthanized. When shelter dogs are seen playing with toys, adoption rates skyrocket! Knowing this, we got to work, and came up with Project Play™. For every toy you purchase for your dog, a toy will be donated to a shelter dog in need.

A Toy For You, A Toy For Them

Project Play™ gets shelter dogs adopted.

The toys vary but we make sure to always provide durable toys that are bully-friendly but suitable for dogs of all sizes – and that our own dogs love!

The toys are distributed through GreaterGood.org. We schedule delivery of these donated toys to GreaterGood.org for distribution. In turn, they arrange for delivery to an array of shelters and rescues alike.

Knowing how important playfulness is to potential adopters, we asked ourselves, how can we increase adoption rates at the shelters for which we already provide food? When we asked shelter workers what they needed most, they told us that one of the key things they desperately needed was high-quality, durable toys for the dogs – after all, adoption rates soar when families see a dog available for adoption joyfully at play.

We knew we could make this happen with the help of our awesome customers! That’s why GreaterGood.org teamed up with iHeartDogs.com for Project Play™. For each toy purchased, we’ll donate a durable toy to a shelter dog in need.

We’ve partnered with Greater Good Charities to provide funding for all of our give-back programs.
