To those people who think dogs don’t have emotions, think again! We’ve featured a lot of videos proving dogs can in fact feel emotions. There’s even an upcoming movie about a dog who is mourning the loss of his owner; and that movie is based on true events.
Dogs can feel emotions. They feel happy, they can feel worried, and they can feel sad. This story we have for you is another proof of that.
In Mérida Mexico, a woman named Margarita Suárez has been helping animals in need. Margarita is not rich, she doesn’t work in an animal organization either. She’s just a humble woman who just wants to help the dogs in the street. So whenever she went out, she brings food with her to feed the stray dogs.
Then because of health reasons, Margarita had to move Cuernavaca, Mexico. But she still continued to help homeless animals and feed stray dogs. Unfortunately, her health took a turn for the worse and she passed away.
Friends and family came to her funeral. Margarita’s daughter, Patricia Suarez, was shocked when she saw stray dogs arriving at the funeral home. The dogs entered the room where her mother was. The workers at the funeral home told Patricia that they’ve never seen the dogs before.
When Margarita’s body was moved to the church, the dogs even followed behind the funeral car. And when her body was returned to the funeral home for cremation, the dogs followed her there also.
The family cannot explain how the dogs knew where to find Margarita. But they believe that the dogs were paying their respects to her because she has been so helpful to them.
