Some humans do cruel things with no reason in mind. And that seems to be what happened in a dog named Fanta’s case. He was simply relaxing outside and minding his own business when all his greatest fears came to life. Before he knew what was going on, a group of strangers dragged him into a vehicle and tortured him on an abandoned property. Poor Fanta didn’t deserve any of it. And he might not have survived if a kind soul didn’t come to the rescue.
Fanta’s Heartbreaking Fate
Security cameras caught a disturbing sight the day Fanta was kidnapped. The footage showed two individuals dragging Fanta using a rope around his neck. Fanta twisted and squirmed, trying to escape, but he gave up once they dragged him across the pavement. They shoved him into their truck, showing no mercy.
Reports state that whenever someone tried to confront the thieves about it, they would threaten them and even pull out guns. Then, they drove away with Fanta trapped in their vehicle. They didn’t stop until they reached an abandoned house. Sadly, at that house, Fanta only experienced more torture. They tied a rope to his leg and tied him to a tree branch. Then, they left him that way without a second thought.
Fanta cried for help over and over again as the pain in his foot continued. Luckily, a Good Samaritan heard his screams and contacted an animal rescue group. Rescuers rushed to the scene and got the police involved. They refused to let such cruel humans get away with these actions.
Fanta Finds Happiness and Justice
Fanta received medical care right away. His leg was badly injured, so vets feared they would have to amputate it. But they were gentle with him and cleaned his wounds as much as they could. Soon enough, he was feeling better and ready to walk again!
While Fanta was being cared for, police located the three men responsible and apprehended them. Now, they’ll never be able to harm another innocent animal again.
This sweet pup gets better each and every day. He might never move as effortlessly as he used to, but he is now able to walk on his own. He has also befriended some of the other dogs at the rescue and warmed up to the kind staff. At first, he trembled a lot, but now he seems so grateful to be surrounded by humans who care about him.
Fanta went into foster care shortly after his rescue. His foster mom spent a lot of time keeping his wounds clean so his infections could fully heal. Along the way, his foster family fell deeply in love with him and decided to adopt him. Now, Fanta is happier than ever and his tail never stops wagging!
