Happy National Dog Day! We know it’s always dog day in your house, because you’re such an animal lover, but it’s officially being celebrated nationwide this Friday, August 26th.

And just in time to celebrate the special occasion, Krispy Kreme is launching boxes of limited edition doggy doughnuts. They look so much like real thing and their flavors were even inspired by the classic Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme announced in a post on Instagram that they have a super special way for you to spoil your pup. They are launching limited-edition doggy doughnuts that are specially made for your furry best friend.

The doggie doughnuts were created by Huds and Toke, an Australian, artisan baked, pet treat company, and were inspired by classic Krispy Kreme doughnut flavors.

“Our dogs have given us so much love and comfort to help us through these last couple of years. They deserve this special treat. On National Dog Day this Friday, give your furry friend something pawsome,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kremes’s global chief brand officer.

There are six mouthwatering flavors for dogs to choose from: Original Glazed, Chocolate Cookie, Chocolate Sprinkles, Chocolate Iced, Strawberry Sprinkles, and Chocolate Cheesecake.

But don’t worry. While these doggy doughnuts may look like the real deal, these tasty treats are made without chocolate or other potentially harmful foods for your four-legged best friend. These peanut butter-based treats are made with wheat four, carob, and other natural ingredients.

While they do contain human-grade ingredients, these doggy doughnuts were made with our furry best friends in mind, and are not intended for human consumption. These tasty treats were made to appeal to those pups that like a hard-baked cookie to chew.

The doggie doughnuts will be released on Friday, August 26th, and will be available over the weekend, or as long as supplies last. Each box of these peanut-based, doggy biscuits will have six tasty treats. But, they will only be available at select stores.

So, pack up your pups and head to the drive-through, so you can pick up a box of these tasty, limited edition dog treats.
