Mine had the same problem and it was a cardio issue. I’d get your baby to a vet pronto. Good luck.

Take to vet asap. My dog just died of heartattack with excessive panting first.

The above posts are correct. If your vet found nothing wrong you need to get another opinion. My dog does the same thing and he & he has a cardio issue, is considered a heart patient & is on sevetsl heart meds. Your pup needs a chest X-ray, ultrasound or whatever ASAP please!

I had 2 ShihTzus that did this and although nothing was thought to be wrong both were END STAGE RENAL FAILURE the only was to detect this is to do BLOOD CHEMISTRY panel. I lost one of them in August of this year and the other OCT. 14,2015. The late stage renal failure was only detected In January of this year. n GET your Baby to a different vet NOW. It very well may not be this but that is what happened with mt 2. It didn’t help that one of them turned 16 the17th of Nov. 2014 and the other turned 17 the 27th of February 2015. These 2 were brother and sister and 1 other brother had same problem.

I agree that a full blood panel needs to be completed. This happened to my 8 year old male rough collie last year. Two of his blood panels were off significantly. Before he could be diagnosed he suffered multiple strokes and had to be euthanized. I would take your dog to a different vet.

Research Cushings Disease. Are they the same symptoms as your dog?

I am so glad to hear that it is not a major issue. It is obvious that so many of us have lost our dogs to serious health problems that we hoped you’d be spared losing your love too.

There are different reason for panting like heart, heat, anxiety, cushing disease etc. If a vet cannot find a reason I would connect this wonderful dedicated accurate pet communicator, psychic and medical intuitive get in touch with Shirley Scott from Oregon. She is the best and gives phones readings and is not expenisive. She has helped me with my dog, and I sent 2 of my friends dogs to her. She saved there dogs. One friend’s dog could not walk and could not eat, she went to 3 vets they could not find the health problem. Spent so much money on vets and test. She was desparate and contacted Shirley. Shirley told her to get her dog immediately to a chiropractor to make alignment adjustments. My friend found a chiropractor for her dog and after the treatment, the dog got up walked, was perky and healthy like his old self.
