Charlotte was with us for 16 years!

We had to make that hard decision last Monday for our sweet little beagle mix, Charlotte. Although she had arthritis in her back legs, nearly deaf, eyesight failing, and a heart murmur, she was still going strong. Loved taking daily walks. When we brought another dog into our family 3 years ago that really perked her up. Unfortunately last week, her body gave up. She could no longer stand up on her own or walk, and she was in a lot of pain. It was really sad saying goodbye to her after all these years. Even though we knew her time was limited, it was still heart breaking during the last few moments when she was sleeping before her last breath.
