Dog chewing/playing with pillows only when I'm home?

Hello!

I have a 4 year old black lab that I raised since he was a puppy. For about the first year of his life, he was with me at college. After that, he has lived at home with my parents and our other two dogs. When I come home, my dog always goes to throw pillows on my bed or the couch and will bring them to me and destroy them! My parents say he never does this when I’m home. It has gotten to the point where we need to hide all the pillows from him when I’m home. As he has gotten older, the behavior has never improved. Any insight/tips?
