Hi everyone ! I recently lost one of my two dogs, and they were really close. The older one being sick with diabetes, the youngest, Pepa, took care of her by accompanying her, sleeping with her, among many other things. A few days ago, we had to sleep our eldest because she was too sick to keep on going. Since that moment, Pepa is crying constantly and barely eats. What should i do?

Hi, we had one of our rotts pass away recently as well. Her name was Gracie. My rotts were sisters, from the same litter. Pepper Ann is still adjusting. She has been sad and requires more attention from us. She follows us room to room like she used to do with her sister. She has to sleep with one of us because she was used to sleeping beside her sister. We have to stand with her while she eats or she won’t eat. We also had to change her food so she would eat. We have to pay her plenty of attention and she is doing better. She won’t even go outside unless we stay with her. I think it is a form of comfort for her since her sister is no longer with her

When puddles mom died, the vet said to keep something that she slept on and let him have it until he wasn’t interested. Give lots of extra love. We had to Feed him some chicken nuggets for awhile. I know it is early but might look for a friend. Good luck.Sorry for your loss.
