It’s a pretty common issue with Bassets. It’s probably a yeast infection, take him to the vet and get ear drops which you’ll probably need to administer twice daily for about 4 weeks.. Our basset HATES it, and it usually requires getting into his crate with him to pull it off.

I have 2 basset hounds and each one has an ear infection in their right ear. We have gone to the vet countless times for ear drops and cleanings and nothing has worked. .any suggestions?
