Hills science diet tiny bites chicken and rice. Medium price, vet recommended, made in the USA and they like it! I understand many folks make fresh food for their pups but unless you get the vitamins and minerals and other nutrients correct your pet isn’t getting what he needs. Plus chihuahuas are known to have dental issues and soft, cooked diet can cause accelerated dental issues. I’ve used hills for about 11 years with great results and healthy babies.

I boil chicken and raw yams. My Bella has a sensitive stomach and she is 17. It turns out cheaper than buying dog food and better for her.

I rescued mine from a shelter. She was a hot mess. After getting her a dental she has only 1 tooth left. I feed her can science diet for sensitive skin and stomach. She has so many issues but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. She is my 2nd child.

When my senior chihuahua was diagnosed with a heart problem I cooked him chicken, lean pork, liver and salmon in my crock pot so it was no salt, no fillers, and if it had fat I refrigerated over night so I could skim the fat off in the morning. Our vet tech Kat wanted to be adopted so she could eat well too.

My dog only likes the purple bag of the IAMS mini chunks dog food. Any other ones I’ve tried have either gave him an upset stomach or he won’t eat it. Has to be the chicken flavor too

I make my own. I bake chicken covered with some water for steam after the chicken falls off the bone I use the leftover liquid in the pan to bake peas carrots and small pasta like stars or rice.I put also half a can of pumpkin puree mix to it. I let it cook until pasta is ready should have a wet consistency but not too much liquid. I shred the chicken and mix. I used ziplock sandwich bags and put enough for one meal. I have 2 chihuahuas so I put enough for both of them in one bag and freeze. Every morning I thaw one bag for dinner or you can feed them twice is your choice. Mine like one big meal a day. But their poop is always healthy and they love it. Plus is way cheaper than buying the same thing in cans that cost an average of 4 dollars per can

My handsome likes taste of the wild and I also give him fresh pet. I give him a little hard kibble because it’s good for his teeth so we could sat in the morning a bowl if he wants to graze and then he gets fed at night.

Mine love Nature’s Recipe small breed kibble and wet food. They also love freeze dried grass fed foods like Stella and Chewy or Primal. They even like those crumbled and dry but you can add water. I also bought pet insurance and can message you info and why..

Royal Canin Chihuahua brand and get the bag with the picture of the short hair Chihuahua on the bag, there’s a difference between the two bags. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you go to order on Chewy or at your pet shop. I have been feeding it to my chi for the last 10 years I’ve had her and she’s over 15 the vet said, since she’s a rescue and I took her to the vet 5 13 24 and got a clean bill of health and has a strong heart

I order the Farmers Dog Nutrition Mix and then use their recipes (with a few slight adjustments)to make my own dog food. As you can see my 14yr old Chihuahua loves helping to make it. He is 1 of 3 that love the food.
