HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY EVERYBODY!!

Hi everyone!
Today is National Dog Day! Not to be confused with National Take Your Dog To Work Day – that’s in June.

TWO things I wanted to mention today:
1) If you’re having trouble with itchiness in your dog – especially ear issues – try using a powder combination of food grade DE powder, powdered yarrow, and Neem powder. Mix these in equal parts,use a powder puff or put the mixture in a sock & dust your dog. It works like a charm! Apparently with our very moist summer heat this year, the no-see-ums are on the prowl worse than normal. This combo works miracles.
2) I’m the one (as you probably know) who is always crowing about how wonderful VeRUS dog food is for my dogs. Well, I’m still crowing. It has been FANTASTIC for my dogs. I wrote a long post about how the fish formula isn’t stinky and I wanted to add comment about that… Even waaaaayyyy down at the bottom of the bag, the food still smells fresh. I have left the bag open (accidentally) over night and didn’t walk into a fishy smelling kitchen. I have, in the past, left open regular dog food over night and I walked into a kitchen that smelled like dog food (at best). This is really good dog food that is worth every penny!
