Hi there, I have a puppy that has been sick for the past 3 days and 3 nights. He has diarrhea and keeps vomiting. He is 6 months old doesn’t have his shots.he doesn’t want to eat or drink, but today he finally drank water but threw up! Do you know of any organizations that could help me asap! I live in Oxnard, CA
I read that parvaid and probiotics are effective! -

I think it sounds like in this situation, it sounds like you really need to get the help of a trained veterinarian. Have you talked to one in your area?

Come on, the help you need is that of a vet. Bye is still a puppy, hasn’t has any puppy shots and has been sick for three full days. What are you waiting for!? If you continue without help, you can lose him fast.

Why in the world didn’t you get your dog’s his SHOTS ? Now it sound like PARVO AND IT IS DEADLY to your puppy . And now if this the case you can’t have other pets in your house or yard if they are not protected . GET DOG TO THE VET UNLESS YOU WILL HAVE A DEAD PUP ON YOUR HANDS . And what i mean by that when it comes to NOT having anyone’s dog over it could cause a major outbreak in your neighborhood this is NO lie . And if you take your pup to a dog park with no vaccines your playing with FIRE in the WORST WAY ! To be new pet owner is is scary ok now would you let your children play with someone that is highly CONTAGIOUS in a child daycare ? And yes i work with animals in a veterinarian plus kennel . I have been in the animal field for 20 years and i have dealt with highly contagious animals in the rescues that i worked for. The first step in puppy hood is VACCINES . A puppy can incubate the disease and you would not know it until the signs start showing. And people can also bring it into the house with even knowing it and it happens. Now if you have Parvo please please put a Bleach pan by all doors so you and the family and guests can put your shoes in the bleach pan and Not TRACK Parvo Virus THROUGH THE HOUSE.!When bringing a new puppy into the home you must vaccinate your puppy it takes 4 to 5 rounds of shots these are called Four in one . That distemper,Corona, Parvo virus influneza . The reason sometimes the vet will suggest it one for good measure it doesn’t hurt after you have your pup for a year then it is called Booster shots. If you do not get your puppy to the vet your puppy will die

It is sad that you have to come here for help…. FIND A VET THAT HAS A PAYMENT PLAN… or surrender the pup to the no-kill shelter… Or ask someone for money to get treatment, shots, spay/neuter… then find the dog the good home.

I owned a puppy for a few days and unbeknownst to me he came with the parvovirus. He died a day later. Animals can be very expensive to own and when your dog is sick they need to see a vet right away, not wait 3 days later. I’m sorry but it’s been a while since you posted this and I’m assuming your pup is no longer here. Am I correct?

Alright people, settle down! This person posted awhile ago, so she might have learned something. She sounds like a first time pet owner, so maybe she didn’t realize the pups need their puppy shots right away. There’s no reason to be calling her an idiot or anything else. Many of us are experienced pet owners. There are always new people that aren’t experienced. Everybody said the same thing. Parvo, because we recognize the symptoms. Hoefully everything turned out ok. One person suggested the steps to use for de-toxing the house & stopping the spread of parvo (or anything else). Most of you were very supportive in alerting her to get to a vet immediatly. I like seeing people reacting in a civil manner rather than name calling.
