So this is Aria…she is now 3 months old and I have tried every single method of potty training with her. Bells, Diapers, cleaning carpet, taking her outside every hour. Well I was telling my husband the other day that she has only pee n poo in 3 areas of the house…I TOTALLY JINXED MY SELF!!! NOW she is going at random everywhere. I had read things googled things and still no clear answer…im at wits end. I mainly deal with all of our animals. my husband works for Union Pacific and he is away a lot. Please somebody HELP

Hi, I hope this may help… I did not read the other posts so I hope I’m not repeating a suggestion. My first thought is a possible UTI. My second thought which is the problem I had with my Border Collie is a bad spayed… Most vets will not admit to this being the problem but I’ve had this issue with 3 females who were spayed before their first heat. The only real option is a drug called Proin for the rest of her life. I hope this helps. Hopefully it’s just an UTI!

first off she is still very young for a husky. if this is your first husky, boy are you in for a surprise. huskies are very stubborn and strong. now get the floors clean with vinegar and or baking soda or from a pet store urine remover, she will continue to mark yes girls mark or accidentally pee from the smell of her’s or other dog’s urine. take her outside and tell her to go potty, reword her with nice words, good girl, nice ect. and a really good dog treat, not one you regularity give. real meat dog jerky ect, do this everytime. also although huskies hate to be in a kennel get a large kennel (borrow one if you can) dogs hate to pee in the place they stay, a bathroom or laundry room can work too, but kennel is best put it in your room so if she cries take her outside say potty and if she goes reward. huskies do not do well getting yelled at or nose booped, they will learn not to like or trust you. the same goes for other things you want her to learn, take it slow and lots of rewards. my 2nd husky is very stubborn and independent she is 18 months old and still will not come on command, took her to puppy classes ect she learned a lot but not that important command. huskies run and love to run, must teach her come and stay for her own good and yours. use a long rope and throw a treat out then call her back give her another treat. please chip and collar your husky, they tend to run away and get out any chance they can. also enjoy your little furbaby, give her lots of toys and exercise, they are very energetic and need to be walked or ran. I take mine to a local dog park, she comes back tired and sleeps for several hours. join a husky group, socialize her with other people and dogs after she has had all the shots. huskies love kids too. good luck

Have to agree with previous post about possible urinary tract infections & when getting a pee sample have a helper! Our female brit was fun to get a sample from! I wore it 3 times & yellow snow went in bowl! Have her checked for uti first otherwise house breaking will be impossible. Our female was 2 when she had uti & messing everywhere in the house-she couldn’t help it. After the medicine she was back to her awesome self. The other thing with pups like husky, wolf hound, greyhound & hunting breeds they need to be run regular in a controlled/fenced-in area. It helps with training as well. Our pack includes 2 pure bred Brittany spaniel, 1 German short hair pointer & my brit mix pup. The pup’s sire is a Russian wolf hound mix. 8 large puppies later& adventures. Yes it is a Klondike bar I am sharing-they only got the ice cream. The blonde is the mix & the big black fellow is his pa. The oldest brit is oversized. The tiny 1 is the female and kicks all the male’s butts. Good luck,Hugs and prayers!

Husky is a very smart dog as well as a smart ass. Bobber’s litter had the sit, stay & hold commands by 4-5 weeks as well as being about half way house broken as well. Having the older dog as examples may have helped to speed up their learning. We also had to tie the zipper ends together on the kennel box as well as rig my back pack cuz the stinkers learned how to open them & help themselves to my lunch as well as pick pockets for snacks. All our dogs “honor” the doors & fences-they know how to open them & jump them. You may find like I have that you will be using unconventional commands & training techniques & at times feel like your being “mean” to the animal. If you are not the dog will not respect your wishes. Watch the dog whisperer -Cesar Milan. His stuff works.
