Hello westie friends. I have a 10 months old female westie, which doesn’t really want to go for walks. During the past two months we were at the sea side and there she had no problems with the walks, every morning we were walking her with another westie and everything was perfect. Now we are back home and she refuses to walk. We bring her outside and she keeps pulling back to the home door. I wonder why? Nothing changed, she knows.our neighborhood and also we bring her out to the same times. I’m desperate and don’t know what to do

Sorry to reply so late. I hope things have gotten better. Were there any other symptoms like disinterest in other activities or whining or doing anything abnormal? My initial thought was depression or anxiety….

Maybe there was an incident that happened and traumatized your dog when walking outside. There must be something that has happened to cause the trauma! Anyhow, you should make your dog overcome the fear and walk no matter what, since it is essential for the dog. Fingers crossed for you and your little westie!
