      Hi All!

Three months ago my boyfriend and I rescued a beautiful 6 year old English Springer Spaniel (Sunny). Her past is shaky- she was in a puppy mill-type situation with 12 other dogs. She lived in a kennel for nearly a year- she was well taken care of but other female dogs had attacked her on multiple occasions. We immediately fell in love with her but it took a lot of patience to gain her trust. She had never lived in a house so everything was new to her. She is very weary of new people and scared of other dogs. She has never been aggressive but when she’s scared she becomes painfully submissive and will even pee on herself. She LOVES me. She is fully attached to me and while I do love that, she has moments where she is terrified of my boyfriend and roommate. When I am home she is fine but when its just him around she just wants to get away from him and hide in her crate. My boyfriend likes her but is pushing to rehome her to a woman who would be her only caretaker. While I love her so SO much, it kills me to see her living in fear when I’m not near her.

      I’m willing to try anything!

      Thanks!!

I realize this is an older post, but has there been any improvement?
