I met my forever Family in November 2008. My first family had to say goodbye but my forever family was there to greet me! I met my new Best Friend and Partner in Crime, Milo. Together we found happiness. My new mom loved me so much. She called me Maddie Moo because I loved to eat grass and Bunny because I hopped around. I was a clown. I found a real home. Just a few short years of joy, My vet found the lump. My mom & dad took me to several vets and The biopsy came back cancer. The vet said they could take my leg but my parents prayed and felt they should let me enjoy my life running around. I survived three years before we learned the cancer spread to my chest. The cancer was not going to beat me! I survived another three before it began taking its toll. I woke up with my eye inflamed. After a visit to my vet, we learned the tumor had spread to my eye. My parents couldn’t let me go, so my eye was removed. We were given possibly weeks but I had another year of life to play and be with my family. Just months ago, one mass on my neck became infected. My mom and dad took me in to get it removed and then they found it. Cancer had reared its head. A mass the size of a cantaloupe was found on my bladder. Mom was sad. I got sick. I became tired and couldn’t eat. My parents took me to the Vet for the final time. My mom and Dad held me. They told me they were sorry and cried. My mom hugged me and promised me she would see me in heaven. Then I fell asleep. They took me home to the pasture where I loved to play. I died at the age of 12. I survived 6 years of Cancer because of my family. I was loved.
