Hi Im Meg and I’m 11 years old now. My hearing isn’t as good as it used to be but it’s ok. I have a Family i’ve lived with since I was 2. They rescued me, I used to live in a place called the countryside, I had two oweners but sometimes they wern’t very kind to me, the lady used to shout at me and lock me outside all day, in the cold and the rain, and the man used to use some big hard rolled up paper to hit and beat me with, then one day they were getting something called a ‘Divorce’ and I heard the man say that if the lady didn’t take care of me, he would take me down the lane and shoot me 🙁 I was very scared. Then I got took to a house down the road from me, it was warm and cosy, there was a roaring fire, then three people came into the house and made a really big fuss of me, I liked these people, they put me in their car but there was a big gate stopping me from getting to them, this made me a bit anxious and I was sick in the car. After a long car journey I came to a place called the city or a town, it was busy, there was lots of cars and big buildings, the new people went to bed, I had a Mommy called Debbie, a Daddy called Kevin and a big sister called Bec, that night I was allowed to sleep on Becs bed, it was big warm and comfy, but she has this thing called a Mobile, and it kept flashy flashing and blinking at me so I nudged her to let her know, she reassured me it was ok and turned the flashy thing over. The next day dad went to work, he let me out to use the toilet and I knew the garden as before was my place, I stared at dad as he called my name but I just stood there. Dad got a biscuit and eventually I came in. As time went buy I settled into my new home and I realised this family did want me, along came sweet little small people, almost like puppies they cried and when they cried I would nudge their seats to let them know it’s ok, I got lots of treats and Bec does this thing called Avon, we get big boxes delivered to our house and I know when the boxes come she will be taking me for a walk :-), I get all excited and I jump around the house until she puts my lead on. As I said im going deaf now so I cant hear very well, my mommy and daddy and bec still do all the things I love with me, except I cant go on the big Avon round as it’s a bit too far for me to walk now, I’m glad I met my new family because they have taught me that I am loved and I have been the best dog I could be.
