My name is Lexie. Me and my three puppies were surrendered to our local SPCA in Ohio. I was very fearful of the new situation me and my little family were in. I became very protective of me and my babies.Everyone wanted my babies but not me.Like so many small dogs I didn’t present well like so many small dogs found in that type of situation.Luckily for me the workers of the SPCA saw something special in me.They contacted a dog rescue organization in Canada and asked if they had room for me. I came to Canada and was settled into a foster home in the province of Ontario. Again this was another recent change and I was really scared. A lady saw my picture on the internet listed on Pet-finder. Sadly the lady had just had to put down her mini- poodle she had for 13 years. The lady was smart enough to give me time decide when she could pet me. When she touched me was a good connection. To show her appreciation that she was taking me home I gave her kisses all the way home. I am still living with her to this day. And I think because my adoption was such a success I now have a new brother and sister that have also been adopted.
