Hello, as the title says. I got a new Dog today and I am not sure of the breed. I was told they think it’s shih tzu and chihuahua mix. But I am not entirely sure, so I figured i’d post some pictures online and HOPEFULLY get some help/advice and if anyone can identify the breed, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks so much!!

Shih Tzu is a good guess, but could also be a long haired terrier, such as a Silky or Yorkie.
If you adopted from a shelter or another family, it is very possible it just a mix of many breeds – otherwise known as a mutt (mongrel).
But not to fear, some mutts are the best dogs ever!

It does kind of resemble a Yorkie to me, or perhaps a ‘mixed’ breed.
