Our lovely rescued Lily

Who rescued who? We brought Lily home from a rescue centre 6 years ago, she was about 3 then and very nervous, she had been bred for cash and then dumped on the streets when her puppies were sold, it was 6 months before we could get her spayed as she was still lactating. She’s still terrified of thunder and fireworks, but we can anticipate it usually unless someone has a wedding and let off fireworks all evening in which case she sits on my head in bed!

We can’t imagine life without her, she is such a part of our family and has looked after our two grandchildren from new-born babies, she adores them and just sits by their cot or pram when they’re napping. We’re trying to find a new puppy to rescue so she can raise it but no luck at present.
