I have feed my Pug hot dogs and human food for her entire life since she was 6 months old, she is 14 years old and in great health. My motto is, never feed them something you wouldn’t eat.

My Lucy is allergic to a lot of different foods. She hated her prescription food (Royal Canin) from the vet, so I went on a hunt. The only retail brand I have found that she can tolerate is Simply Nourish, Grain Free Fisherman’s Finest. Good luck!

I’ve been using Wellness since 2009, all my dogs are on it & my vet likes it for them. Starts at puppy and goes through senior. Has little bites also.

I gave mine Avoderm. It’s an avocado based. My Pug was always scratching and getting hot spots and even had an odor to him. That food was a game changer!!

When talking to my vet he advised not all dogs react to foods the same way. Find a food that your dog likes and that they do well on. You can get the most expensive food and your dog may react poorly to. But, he did advise to get a food that adheres to AAFCO guidelines. He also stated that people like to push their dietary beliefs onto their dogs. Dogs digestive systems are different than humans.

Fromm. A small, family owned business of three generations. They produce in small batches and never had a recall. My Pugs love it.

My Pug did very well with Natural Balance. When I first rescued him I got Iams (I didn’t know better!) and he was super allergic/very itchy! Natural Balance has Limited Ingredients Diet options so I was able to narrow down what he couldn’t tolerate. A little more expensive than grocery store food but they often offer rebates, coupons etc.
