My Daisy is soooo jumpy if you move a piece of paper or my phone anything quickly she jumps and sometimes leaves the room for a few minutes. I’ve learned to move slower around her but is there anything else I can do? She is 3 years old and has always been this way.

My 3 year old Yorkie did the same when I got him 2 years ago from a puppy mill. It honestly takes a lot of time and patience. They are dogs with a lot of anxiety from what I was told. Today he doesn’t get scared anymore and is a lot less jumpy then when I first got him.

I would play music all the time. Then if you make a noise, it won’t be going from silence to noise. Or have the TV on even when you’re not home. I used to leave Animal Planet on for my dogs all the time. You could even play white noise. I hope these simple ideas help.
