Believe me, it is worth it. Shop around and see which one best meets your needs. All it takes is one bad incident or illness and you may have to decide whether you can afford or not.

We save for any eventualities. We had a policy for our last dog and when we needed to claim it was turned down.

I use Banfield. Worth checking out. You pay a monthly fee and shots, teeth cleaning, and visits are included.

I find that my dog stays very healthy just by: feed good food (the right amount), limited treats, get plenty of exercise, regular vet visits, monthly flea tick heart medicine, lots of conversation and plenty of just plain pure love. He is a very happy dog. Have never needed insurance.

Met life told me my dog had a previous condition which he didn’t. However, paid for his first two allergy shots and then haven’t covered anything related. If I move to another company now, it’s considered a previous condition. Don’t do Met Life.

Insurance is definitely worth it. Try Pets Best or Lemonade. Both very reasonable. It doesn’t hurt for the small price every month on your credit card. It does hurt if you have to pay for an emergency or accident. Can be thousands.

Get a separate savings account for the pup. And have so much of your check direct deposited in it. Don’t touch it unless needed for the pup. The old saying out of sight out of mind.

We have Woolworths pet insurance we took it out for the first time for our current dog as he is a rescue and had no history for him. We have had 2 very big bills totalling $12,000 we only paid $3,000 of it so very thankful we have it. They also dealt directly with the vets made it very easy.

Pet Insurance definitely. Our pet had a Staph infection which required a Specialist which was $$$ we have a $250 deductible after that 80% coverage. Saved us a lot of money for his care medicated baths, injections cost of serums etc wouldn’t be without it, we have Healthy Paws.
